For the Hunza people, it is common to find vigorous, healthy people in their 100s. Perhaps one of the key factors is the mineral rich water they drink, (See Hunza Water/Crystal Energy) but also their diet. One of their favourite foods and an important part of the Hunza people’s diet are Apricots. They are eaten fresh in the summer and dried for the winter. The kernels are removed, ground and roasted, the oil is used for cooking, dressings and as a facial lotion. The fruit and kernel are consumed. It takes 7kg of fresh Organic Apricots to produce 100g of Apricot Kernels a ratio of 1:70! So a lot of labour and love went into getting them to you.
